oh gosh. my laptop internet's down and im using the computer at the resource centre..just for the internet..n it doesnt work very well either! =(
anywayyyyy havent had the chance to blog much coz of the internet problems!! summary k!
sheep prac went well.. it was reallly hands on! exciting, abit scary at some point of time, n we had a bbq for lunch! bring our own food n use the bbq pit there.. was nice n cozy n chill, bbq on a farm hahaha =)
we tried shearing a bit of sheep, guessing weights, examining rams-they're nasty things, n worked w lambs, which was the scary part..vaccination, ear marking-cutting off part of the ear(lyk hole puncher kind), ear tagging, tail docking (cauterise), and castration! i pity the poor lambs, seems so traumatising!! so many things being done to them..but the recover really quickly from it n don't seem to b in much distress, happily eating grass n cuddling with their friends after..
hmm n yea, i've got bangs now! which i really really like! =)
today was a rly good day!! went to makoto for sushi..yummy!! n then headed over to capitol square where i played the catch-toy-machine for the 1st time ever!! AND AND AND!! it must be beginners luck, because my 1st try-i put in $5 which gave me 3 chances.. 1st try-miss, 2nd try- caught a green tofu, 3rd try- caught a pink tofu!! WAHAHA!! damn happy!!! my friends all caught other smaller tofu soft toys too!! theyre seriously cute!! hahaha!! i changed $10 woth of coins so i decided to try again after, but didnt get anything. i think i used up my luck for today alrdy, n btr not b too greedy.. hehe!!
n we went to take neoprint after that- LOL!! such a sec sch thing.. it was quite fun actually-once in a while! hehe!! i would so so love to post pictures!! but the stupid internet here is hopeless. gosh!
nvm hopefully erm when i come back from my melb trip-tue to thurs, my internet will automatically correct itself n decide to work some magic for me..
today zoomed by so quickly n i felt as if i did lotsa stuff!

2nd post of the day..gosh
u noe the quote from wjeans fb i said i rly liked, i went n bought the book today LOL!

its one of those happy days today-im alrdy on holiday-floating on some cloud in the sky

the dogs were so good at herding n controlling the sheep..they didnt rly have to bark a lot or bite.. they just use their presence n their eyes.. the sheep get scared.. and go where the dog wants them to go, which is of course, where the owner wants the dogs to move the sheep to..

we had to learn how to approach n catch a sheep n restrain it.. n spent most of the day wrestling w sheep hahaha .. checked their teeth, gave them a mani/pedi-nail clip!, and carried them over fences LOL body condition scoring n estimating weights and drafting sheep.. was real fun!!! LOL but ive got sore arms now from all that sheep wrestling
theyre very docile though!! so gentle! n retarded! n cute! coz when we restrain them in that position, they just sit there w/o knowing how to get up! LOL!! the group in the other pen decided to line them up.. so very very cute! i think all animals r like that u noe.. they have their own antics which r rly v funny sometimes!!

and aft that went out clubbing at HOME, but i didnt rly like it coz it was tooo crowded n the ppl were pushy..haha i liked the lights though! XP the bright flashes.. idk how ppl do it.. i just can't do the let loose n anyhow just dance thing LOL! oh well! my friends know im awkward and they're still my friends so i dun mind XD ...oh but yar! there was lyk some event there.. which was so weird.. coz there was some performance n they were all gays/drag queens n stuff like that.. dirty dancing n lyk doing all the mardi-gras-ish stuff LOL we were lyk.. HMMMMM!!!!! n hmmmm! i think its not that big a deal to me anymore coz sydneys good in a way that there is always weird ppl around so its good, nobody rly expects anything of/from you n u can just b urself(weird or not) n do what u like n b happy!
2 and a half more months till i go home! i have made a decision today that its time to pull myself together, stop being stupid, start working hard and eat healthily, and be happy! that better not b asking for too much! at least, i'll try! hehe XP
i miss my people in this picture! 4 happy people after getting our O lvl results, which seems like such a long time ago!
hahaha n i better be as happy as that when i get my end of yr results lyk 4 months from now! i hope i'm still a smart ass! LOL
gosh the last week has been very hard..kept having nightmares, n feeling like a zombie

DISORIENTATION: that sums up my day

"And it came to me then. That we were wonderful traveling companions but in the end no more than lonely lumps of metal in their own separate orbits. From far off they look like beautiful shooting stars, but in reality they're nothing more than prisons, where each of us is locked up alone, going nowhere. When the orbits of these two satellites of ours happened to cross paths, we could be together. Maybe even open our hearts to each other. But that was only for the briefest moment. In the next instant we'd be in absolute solitude. Until we burned up and became nothing."
HAHA i had an awesome wkend! gymming n being happy! my energy's back! n i rmb how to zi high again XP
theres more.. more of everything.. more than we know =)
about yesterday's alpacca..
alpacca farm was slack.. we ended 2 hrs early =D one of the most relaxing pracs ever.. haha their spit stinks lyk crazy, thank gdness they dun spit at us, they spit at each other, we jus have to b careful not to get caught in the crossfire..theyre awfully cute and retarded creatures..the sound they make is called a hum.. n it sounds like this : "mmmm" (sort of??) lol! they hum when they r STRESSED out.. wahaha
yea, we got to watch artificial insemination on the alpaccas too..quite cool n quite funny too..they're trained to mount a dummy alpacca n ejaculate into an artificial vagina HAHA n they still think they're having sex..poor delusional alpaccas..but yea! its quite interesting how they're doing research to make AI possible coz at the moment AI is not an option for alpaccas coz their semen is too viscous n cant b frozen n thus isnt of much use for AI

today's agro prac was rather enjoyable, we ended 1 hr early =)

lotsa other girls took home the other plants we had during the prac class like the sunflowers and fireweeds and some thistles- the freshly cut specimens, not dried. but then again, whats the point of taking them home? they're already dead..haha not like u can stick them in water n let them live.. they'll just wilt n rot.. lol! my artichokes dried so it'll last for loooong loooong time! =) its in a lil jar by my window now.. one day when i go to the beach, i shall collect sand n fill up that jar.. i think my dried artichoke would look nice in sand!
I've got a peice of paper; But it's Empty

today zoomed by so quickly n i felt as if i did lotsa stuff!
school was good, we had this fish husbandry lecture which was quite interesting actually, and the lecturer was this funny n amusing fish lady.. im looking fwd to our fish prac at camden after the break now! =)
n had my PP consult session today, which i felt went pretty well! i was nervous no doubt, but it was kinda fun u noe, pretending to be a vet n all!! my client was very obliging n didnt make things difficult for me so, lucky me!! wayne's client was SO difficult!! but it was good coz he will have HEAPS to write about in his critique assignment!! haha we get our videos of our consults on thursday, n then i shall write my critique over the wkend. LOL i think im gonna look so retarded on the video la

anyway, got renee to cut my hair for me!! i've got bangs now!! pretty awesome!! i rly rly like them. XD n then went to watch UP in 3D.. WOW. WOW. WOW! the 3D effect is cool stuff seriously, i think all of those animated movies should be in 3D!! its definitely worth $20, all the things look so real and the colours were so bright n nice.. the real world we live in PALES in comparison.. and and and!!! we get to keep our 3D glasses! =) quite nice u noe, its not the cheapskate cardboard-thin, red/blue "glasses" but lyk actual glasses!! like sunnnies!! n the lens are tinted in a dark shade. thats it! no red/blue thing. i would dare to wear them out lyk any normal pair of sunnies leh! they go very well w my bangs too.. LOL!!
n i like everything about the movie, so so funny!!! the talking dogs(seriously quite cool), the little scout boy russel, n i love the colourful bird-kevin! so amusing!! n the nice fluffy clouds n colourful balloons... XD

tmr will have to do up my dairy group work essay assignment thing, by hook or by crook as its due on thursday!! n results for our VAP tests are out on the noticeboard in sch.. eeks!! check tmr.. but i think i should have done pretty alrite =D
time for murakami! gdnite!

2nd post of the day..gosh
my mum called me just now, i think we chatted briefly for less than 1 min b4 we hung up.
my sis told me on msn later that my mum stepped on a shard of glass in the kitchen this arvo n hurt her foot v badly..cant move much now.. n my mum didnt tell me on the phone coz she told my sis that she knows that i don't rly wanna talk much nowadays
n i thought about it, after my sis told me everything.. n i finally realised why i dun feel lyk talking to my mum
well, its very selfish but i know that i have a choice- to talk heaps(i rly can) or to not talk much at all. n right now, i know that if i start talking heaps, it will make me miss me mum a whole lot n miss home n everything. its easier if i just keep my distance, don't get so attached right now, so i don't get that homesick. n it kinda works, the keep ur distance thing. coz i wasn't as homesick as last sem.. n i feel satisfied that i finally figured out why i was doing that..not a good way to deal with it actually. have to say sorry to my mama for that. =( hope her foot recovers fast!
gosh. theres assignments piling up. i shall take time off next wk to FULLY relax n hav fun n catch up w snail mail n friends properly, n storybooks n my mum =D (sigh, n assignments too of course but all the rest comes first)
finally sent in the order for my online shopping.. me n my friends XD can't wait for the stuff to come! the beauty of online shopping. things get ordered, shipped n delivered like magic.
UP in 3D tmr night =D that is MAGIC tooo
( 6:09 PM )
u noe the quote from wjeans fb i said i rly liked, i went n bought the book today LOL!
test today was pretty alrite i felt, sure can pass one la.. e only bad thing was my rumbling stomach wahaha so embarassing! but lucky nobody cept abby n nic know its me i think hehehe!! coz i was too lazy to fix bfast..during the test i was v hungry my stomach kept grumbling so loudly.. gosh!!! XP
n aft that abby n i went to the city for ramen(yummy!!) n went to kino to buy some nice books to read
1) gut symmetries- jeanette winterson

2) wicked - gregory maguire

When Dorothy triumphed over the Wicked Witch of the West in L. Frank Baum's classic tale, we heard only her side of the story. But what about her arch-nemesis, the mysterious witch? Where did she come from? How did she become so wicked? And what is the true nature of evil?
Gregory Maguire creates a fantasy world so rich and vivid that we will never look at Oz the same way again. Wicked is about a land where animals talk and strive to be treated like first-class citizens, Munchkinlanders seek the comfort of middle-class stability and the Tin Man becomes a victim of domestic violence. And then there is the little green-skinned girl named Elphaba, who will grow up to be the infamous Wicked Witch of the West, a smart, prickly and misunderstood creature who challenges all our preconceived notions about the nature of good and evil.
WICKED looks cool.. theres the musical playing in sydney currently.. n the pages of the book are green at the edges.. looks interesting!
shall quickly finish my murakami n start on my new books during the hols!! =D

meeehhhhh!
stop and stare
the dogs were so good at herding n controlling the sheep..they didnt rly have to bark a lot or bite.. they just use their presence n their eyes.. the sheep get scared.. and go where the dog wants them to go, which is of course, where the owner wants the dogs to move the sheep to..
we had to learn how to approach n catch a sheep n restrain it.. n spent most of the day wrestling w sheep hahaha .. checked their teeth, gave them a mani/pedi-nail clip!, and carried them over fences LOL body condition scoring n estimating weights and drafting sheep.. was real fun!!! LOL!! the group in the other pen decided to line them up.. so very very cute! i think all animals r like that u noe.. they have their own antics which r rly v funny sometimes!!
don't tell me they're not retardedly cute
and aft that went out clubbing at HOME, but i didnt rly like it coz it was tooo crowded n the ppl were pushy..haha i liked the lights though! HMMMMM!!!!! n hmmmm! i think its not that big a deal to me anymore coz sydneys good in a way that there is always weird ppl around so its good, nobody rly expects anything of/from you n u can just b urself(weird or not) n do what u like n b happy!
singapore's so judgemental.. ppl will expect u to behave/think/act in certain ways n not many ppl do many crazy things.. or mayb its just that i didnt do much when i was in singapore la LOL! but its kinda weird now that i feel lyk im 1 person when im in singapore n another different person when im here! here's good in a way that makes me happy to be me..happier, less apathetic more energetic more confident. here, fat ppl can wear bikinis on the beach n u can tell nobody rly cares much, but i think if u do that in sentosa, ppl will judge u. even ppl u duno, they'll disapprove n judge u. if i wear my bunny ear hairband w lights thingy, ppl will prolly think im insane LOL n knowing i cannot dance, i dont n wont dare to try clubbing in singapore. wahaha if i bump into someone i know there, i will just die.
i used to think i knew myself pretty well inside out, but now im realising actually i dont! hahaha i don't know myself that well afterall
ohwell, too much talk! i didnt get much studying done today, only went thru 4 chapters.. gosh! but its alrite, im highly optimistic so i always think that things will just turn out fine on their own..n they normally do.. maybe i'll just try harder tmr LOL!

weekend was good though! friday went to bondi beach w abby n nanako to chill or rather, to relax n tan =) and we found out theres a kite flying festival- Festival of the Winds on sunday!!
soooo... we went there again today!! flew kites, played in the freezing cold sea.. the waves are awesome! my friend says the "waves" we were playing in today isnt actually the waves.. its just the "swell" the real waves r much bigger.. im lyk woahh! singapore seas dont even have a "swell" HAHAHA
anyway, kite flying was fun! there were so many kites n so many ppl on bondi beach today =)
little kids with little kites
im flying a kite for the first time in many many yrs!
me, nanako and our pretty kite
colourful kite-filled skies - can u spot our kite? flyingg high!!

was blasting my happy songs(i made a playlist of all my happy songs) n closed the curtains n did lotsa stupid things HAHAHA i think self entertainment is an important skill to have when u are overseas coz u rly need to b able to entertain urself n make urself happy! its good though, that means im not stressed XP
i do feel a lil guilty coz my friends r probably stressed out n studying while im there in my own world.. LOL its a good feeling! the weathers been pretty good this wkend! too good to be studying seriously.. but bo bian! at least i tried studying n i did study a bit u noe!
when m i gg to the beach!! LOL! been wanting to go! everyones starting to study... sighyaiyai! we should relax! HAHAAHA =) im in such a good mood really! sleepy but happy! nxt wks pretty slack (i think the sch wants us to spend the time studying for our midsems) LOL! tmr i have 1 prac 11-1pm only hahaha shiok rite? tues n wed halfday! thur is the only long day! fri no sch!
Saturday, September 5, 2009 ( 2:20 PM )
theres more.. more of everything.. more than we know =)
there will be more happiness in our lives if we let it in.. theres more to learn, theres more to see, theres more to hear, theres more to love, if we open ourselves to it
there will be more sadness in our lives if we let it get to us, more loneliness, more stress, more unhappiness, more tears, if we let ourselves succumb to it
there will always be more that you can do to improve, more obstacles to overcome, more to be grateful for, more to complain about..
more cruelty in the world, more love to share..
theres always more..
more that we can do, more than we can be.. so we just have to know that everything has a balance and juggling that delicate balance would make ur life more ... (insert an adjective) ...
we all want to be the best at everything we do. n thats a good thing. but in fact, we dont have to be the best. we just have to try our best, no?
im in a peaceful place today.. hahaha!
about yesterday's alpacca..
alpacca farm was slack.. we ended 2 hrs early =D one of the most relaxing pracs ever.. haha their spit stinks lyk crazy, thank gdness they dun spit at us, they spit at each other, we jus have to b careful not to get caught in the crossfire..theyre awfully cute and retarded creatures..the sound they make is called a hum.. n it sounds like this : "mmmm" (sort of??) lol! they hum when they r STRESSED out.. wahaha
yea, we got to watch artificial insemination on the alpaccas too..quite cool n quite funny too..they're trained to mount a dummy alpacca n ejaculate into an artificial vagina HAHA n they still think they're having sex..poor delusional alpaccas..but yea! its quite interesting how they're doing research to make AI possible coz at the moment AI is not an option for alpaccas coz their semen is too viscous n cant b frozen n thus isnt of much use for AI
the dummy's name is conseula..she's his favourite
our alpacca we worked with was called Bald Eagle (don't ask me why)

for the love of artichoke
today's agro prac was rather enjoyable, we ended 1 hr early =)
had a look at sunflowers n thistles! i like thistles now! LOL they're interesting n nice though they're prickly
hmm n i took home an artichoke plant-its a type of thistle! its dried alrdy so it won't rot or anything..i think its v pretty though it looks kinda sinister.. lol! my friends kept saying it has an evil aura..but i think its quite artistic looking
for those who dunno, artichokes can be eaten u noe! n they're quite yummy actually.. but don't rly see much of them in any food at all in singapore..
anyway, took pictures of my dried evil plant haha! its rly v pretty!
lotsa other girls took home the other plants we had during the prac class like the sunflowers and fireweeds and some thistles- the freshly cut specimens, not dried. but then again, whats the point of taking them home? they're already dead..haha not like u can stick them in water n let them live.. they'll just wilt n rot.. lol! my artichokes dried so it'll last for loooong loooong time! =) its in a lil jar by my window now.. one day when i go to the beach, i shall collect sand n fill up that jar.. i think my dried artichoke would look nice in sand!

MY FAVOURITE THINGS
Rise and shine my dear, my darling,
Sunshine through the window, birds are calling.
Awake from your sweet, sweet slumber,
Your day awaits, with many new wonders.
Cactus plants on your windowsill come to life,
Growing with vigour, they greet you with feist.
Fluffy white clouds sail across the sky,
Look up, look out, as love comes cruising by.
Wear a bright coloured top and your favourite scent,
Matched with a smile and your ribbon headband.
Carry with you some laughter in your heart,
For a little joy would bring you some luck.
The aroma of freshly brewed coffee wafts through the air,
Tempting, tantalising, drawing you close unaware.
A soy cappuccino in your left, an old book in your right,
Spend some time with yourself; blow some bubbles, fly a kite.
Sounds of the sea come together like a melody,
Notes played on the piano, a perfect rhapsody.
Dreamy weekend filled with my favourite things,
And peace fluttering by on white dove wings.

MOON
A pearl glowing luminous in the dark.
Beautiful. Tragically lonesome.
Tear drops glistening as i looked up.
Tragic. Lonesomely beautiful.
Disco ball spinning amidst parties of stars,
Glitzy, smoky, mysteriously enchanting.
Spotlight glaring down on an empty stage,
Naked, forsaken, enchantingly mysterious.
Outside my window, the night sky loomed.
Inky, somber, ominous, enigmatic.
DARK.
Dark against the pearl, my tears, disco ball, spotlight.
As i lust after the pearl so coveted,
I brush away tears undiscovered.
Drifting along under flashes of the disco ball,
I'm shrinking away from the spotlight where i used to belong.
My moon, so bright, perfectly round tonight.
My heart, heavy. Filled with thoughts of you inside.
Your heart, so light, perfectly sound this night.
Your moon, my moon. Our moon.
Your heart, is now her heart. Sweethearts.
My moon. I'll moon. Over you tonight.
my little tribute to the full moon tonight n the mysteries it brings. for what power the quiet night has, that tugs on heart strings, stirring emotions and letting loose inspiration.
MISSION P.C.
“Sssh!” The coast is clear! Sam and Joyce, heartbeats thumping with excitement, miniature drums beating furiously against their chests, hid behind the door of the room. Yet in the background of the heavy rhythm of the drums, there was the hint of laughter, a giggle perhaps, faintly chiming in the midst of all the commotion.
They were on an important mission. Top secret and highly classified. Stealth, speed and skill were the key factors. They had to initiate the machine- technical expertise was called for. Grasped tightly in their fists were the precious artefacts, which they could not afford to forget.
The matriarch had left the premises about 5 minutes ago and the girls had got into their positions without much haste. Silence filled the room, with the exception of that incessant drumbeat and the imperceptible flitter of glee. The curtains were left undrawn, blocking out much of the sunshine from the outside world. In the dim-lit room, the musky smell wafted by each time they inhaled. It smelt of old lacquered wood mixed with that distinctive smell of fresh paper, dappled with a pinch of a metallic scent- ink, they gathered. The machine sat solemnly at the other corner of the room, enticing, anticipating the girls’ next move. So calm and composed it seemed, patiently waiting for something to happen, like the calm before the storm.
The time for action had come. There was to be no delay. They had to get to the machine, activate it, fulfill their task and retreat, leaving no clues behind of their presence, all before the matriarch returned.
“On the count of 3! 1… 2… 3!” Joyce scurried over to the corner of the room, taking cover behind the machine as Sam followed behind, light-footed and nimble, after shutting the door behind her quietly and deftly turning the lock. Nobody had seen them. Good. For how dangerous and risky this was, with the door being slightly translucent. They had succeeded in securing the room. Now all they had to do was to complete their task and retreat.
The drumbeats faded slowly. Having done this before, Joyce took the lead, guiding and instructing Sam as she went along, activating the machine. With the push of a few specific buttons, a green light blinked on and the machine whirred to life. A cheeky grin smirked on their faces, still balled up in their fists were the artefacts. The giggle in the background began to grow louder, their hearts lighter.
Joyce gingerly lifted the lid of the machine, delicately placing the artefact from her hand onto the glistening panel, smoothening it out. She had to make sure the artefact was placed exactly within the specified margins or the plan would not work. After double-checking that everything was in place, she shut the lid with silent confidence. Sam stood close, observing carefully and learning the procedure for it would be her turn next. With a steady finality to it all, Joyce then pushed the big green button. The machine beeped and started to move, scanning the artefact across from one end to the other. Then, with a sudden burst of energy, it began to chug. Slowly at first, then picking up speed, its rhythm most peculiarly irregular yet hypnotic.
The giggle rose up like a bubble and broke as Joyce gave a little quip. It looks like her task was almost completed! Just as abruptly as it started, the chugging stopped and the machine gave out a loud beep, announcing that its job had been done. Breaking into a smile, lips curling upwards to reveal her teeth, Joyce reached out for the document that slid out onto the tray. As she laid her eyes on the result of her meticulous planning, rumbling laughter erupted from her little body as she held it up proudly with both hands, displaying it for Sam to see. Sam doubled over, clutching her stomach. She could hardly believe what she saw. It was like magic! Sam could not help but join in the throes of uncontrollable laughter and celebration of her sister’s success.
There, imprinted on the stark white sheet of paper, was the unmistakable, most humouring thing of all- the perfect print of her favourite snoopy panties!
Joyce and Sam laughed until tears began to form in their eyes as they repeated the process, Sam enthusiastically trying out her first shot at this.
Then came the screeching of the main gate and the grumble of the matriarch vehicle. She had returned. Each holding about 2-3 copies of warm and crisply printed paper in their hands, Sam and Joyce quickly snatched up their prized possessions and “certificates of achievements”, flipped the power switch to OFF, putting the machine back to sleep and dashed out of the study room. In a flash of motions, they quickly stashed the evidence in the secret compartment in their closet and rushed to the living room, plopped themselves on the sofa, turned on the television and acted like they had been watching Powerpuff Girls this whole time.
Still giggling intermittently at the outrageous adventure they just had, it was perfect timing as the main door clicked open and in stepped the matriarch. “Hi, Mom!” Both girls called in that coyly sweet voice of theirs, plastered on their faces were the “ innocent-puppy-eyed” expressions.
With a nod of approval, their mummy dearest carried her bag of groceries to the kitchen and Sam and Joyce let loose their infectious but final bout of laughter. With a high-five to seal the deal, there was nothing more exhilarating and satisfying than a task well planned and executed. What more was there to say, other than- MISSION PANTY-COPY ACCOMPLISHED!
